Located east of Shanshui Beach, the Stargazing Park is situated on Guanyin Mountain, near Shanshui Fishing Port. This area is also home to Shanshui's famous snorkeling site, found along the coastal waters at the foot of the mountain. The Stargazing Park was renovated in 2008, with a scenic trail leading up the mountain, offering breathtaking views of the Shanshui coastline. On the other side of the mountain lies an open grassland and a coastal path. Along the trail, three pavilions provide resting spots before continuing the journey. A seasonal star chart monument is installed in a natural hollow along the mountain, displaying the constellations for spring, summer, autumn, and winter. The star observation area is specifically designed to block out light pollution from the fishing boats of Suogang and Shanshui, ensuring a clear night sky for stargazing.
Perched at the highest point on Shanshui's east side, the park overlooks Shanshui Beach and Fishing Port, offering panoramic ocean views. To the west, visitors can see the vast coastal grasslands and sandy trails stretching between Suogang and Shanshui. Each season paints the landscape differently—lush green in summer, golden hues in winter, both equally stunning. Here, you can enjoy sunrise in the morning, sunset in the evening, and stargazing at night.
