Xiyu Dayi Temple
Festival Date: Lunar June 24
Dayi Temple was originally named Sihe Temple, built approximately 400 years ago as a joint effort by the four villages of Hengjiao, Zhugaowan, Hejie, and Xiaomen to worship the gods, hence the name "Sihe" ("Four United"). In 1910, the temple was relocated to its current site, where a rear hall was constructed to enshrine Wenfu Qiansui. In 1922, the first main hall was built at the lower level of the original site, and Shengdi (the Sacred Emperor) was added to the pantheon, thus renaming it Dayi Temple, symbolizing the Confucian virtues of loyalty and righteousness upheld by Lord Guan.
