Wangankou Beach
Attractions
Wangankou Beach is a crescent-shaped bay located on the southern tip of Wang'an Island, slightly to the east. It earned its name because it was historically a popular location for local fishermen to cast their nets using traditional Taiwanese beach seines. Wangankou Beach stretches approximately one kilometer, from Hutoujiao Rocks in the east to "Fengping(風平)" in front of Zhonggang Temple in Shanliao in the west. It is a pristine beach with fine white sand, making it an ideal destination for water activities during the summer. On the eastern side, from the Dong'an Community Activity Center(東安社區活動中心) to Hutoujiao Rocks, there is a sandy beach area, which is also one of the six green turtle nesting and protected areas on Wang'an Island.
