Xiaochijiao Double Curve Bridge
Attractions
The Xiaochijiao Double Curve Bridge in Xiyu Township gracefully winds into the sea, its pristine white structure complemented by two green pavilions on either side. Whether or not it's daytime or evening, the bridge offers stunning views in all light. Located in the intertidal zone, the bridge is surrounded by the ocean. During high tide, the sea presents a brilliant blue expanse, with clear waters below that transition into shades of gradient blue. As the tide recedes, the exposed intertidal rock bed is revealed.
The sea provides abundant resources for the local community, who take advantage of low tide to collect shellfish or catch fish, engaging in recreational fishing that supplements their livelihoods. Here, you can enjoy a stunning sunset. At sunset, the sun gradually sinks down to the horizon, perfectly aligning with the sea. Sitting under the pavilion's umbrella, you can take in the beautiful view of the red sun, creating a tranquil and relaxing atmosphere. The Xiaochijiao area is also home to many well-preserved traditional houses, some of which are still inhabited. When visiting, please be respectful and polite. Nearby the bridge, you'll find a narrow, long sandy beach with a stone weir, as well as the Chixi Rock Waterfall, just a short walk away. It's a perfect spot to explore in the afternoon.
