Marine Life Propagation Station

Online reservations are dynamically set by the operating unit. For last-minute bookings, call between 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM or 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM daily at 06-9951065.

Reservation Instructions

To help the public understand the breeding process of aquatic animals and plants and to promote the concept of marine resource conservation, the Penghu County Government has constructed a Seedling Production and Marine Ecology Education Building at its Marine Life Propagation Station (hereafter referred to as "the Center"). The facility is open for public visits.
 

Additional Information

1. Opening Method and Hours
(1) Free of charge. The center is open daily from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. It closes annually for facility refurbishment during the Lunar New Year period; the specific closure dates will be announced on the official website.
(2) Free guided tours and marine environmental education programs are available by reservation. Reservation hours are from 8:30 AM to 11:00 AM and 1:30 PM to 4:00 PM on open days.

2. Reservation for Entry
(1) Visitors should book their entry session at least one week in advance through telephone, fax, mail, or online booking, followed by a telephone confirmation. Each time session is limited to a maximum of 80 visitors, subject to availability.
(2) The booking organization should provide details including the organization name, visitor list, visit date, time, and contact person’s name and phone number.
(3) If unable to visit as scheduled, the organization must notify the center at least one day in advance. Failure to notify in time may result in future reservations from that organization being declined.
(4) An organization may only make one reservation per week.
(5) Visitors with reservations will receive guided tours and should enter through the designated tour route.
(6) The center may need to reschedule or pause guided tours for operational reasons. In such cases, the center will notify the booking organization to reschedule.
(7) If no reservations have been made for a particular slot on a given day, the facility will allow walk-in visitors.

3. Walk-in Entry
Visitors not requiring guided tours are welcome to enter during the designated walk-in hours via the self-guided route.

5.Remarks
(1) If you do not receive confirmation from the museum within 3 days of making a reservation, please proactively contact the museum to ensure your reservation is secured.
(2) To cancel or reschedule for an earlier visit, please notify the operating unit at least 3 days in advance. To reschedule for a later visit, please inform the operating unit no later than 30 minutes before the scheduled visit time. Delays may affect the reserved service time. Those who fail to visit without reason cannot make another reservation for 3 months.

Important Notes

(1) Within the Exhibition Area: Smoking, eating, chewing gum or betel nut is prohibited.
(2) The use of flash photography is forbidden.
(3) Do not touch the exhibits (except for touch pools), pick flowers or plants, or litter.
(4) Please avoid loud noises, running, or playful behavior.
(5) Do not bring pets (except guide dogs) or dangerous items into the center.
(6) Please do not lie on chairs or the floor as the center is a public space.
(7) The online reservation time is based on the opening hours of the venue. If you have other related needs, please call the venue management unit.
