♦Penghu Marine Geopark Center♦

The Penghu Marine Geopark Center, established by the Penghu County Government to highlight the region's geopark, is located next to the NO.3 Fish Harbor, just a street away from the Magong City Office. The center provides an introduction to the Penghu Geopark, the island's nature reserves and the Maoyu Seabird Protection Zone, as well as a map of the Qimei Pre-historic Stone Tool Making Workshops, a geological timeline of Penghu and information about geoparks around the world, Taiwan's geological parks, stone materials, local landscapes and basalt formations, offering rich and detailed content. Though the interior space is not large, it is divided into 15 areas, including exhibits on Penghu's basalt, distinctive landscapes, basalt details, geological timeline, the six major geological parks of Penghu, nature and seabird protection zones, Qimei's prehistoric stone tool workshops, shared global heritage, stone material themes, an audiovisual room, a library with stone crafts and interactive educational activities. The exterior of the center is mainly made of stone, with a traditional and Japanese-style design, making it a distinctive architectural feature. The interior is divided into several sections, with wooden stairs leading up through multiple levels, allowing visitors to stand at higher points and enjoy the view of the exhibits from above. The center also offers scientific educational activities for children.

Rocking Blue Cave - VR ExperienceGo to Reservation
To give visitors a glimpse of the natural beauty of Penghu's hidden secrets, the Penghu County Government has set up a mini Blue Cave VR experience theater inside the center. The walls of the theater mimic basalt stone, with soft blue lighting casting an ethereal glow, creating the illusion of stepping into a mysterious blue cave.
Visitors can sit in motion seats, wear VR goggles and experience a 360-degree aerial flight, exploring the beautiful geological landscapes of Penghu in an adventure that cannot be achieved in real life.
The mini Blue Cave VR theater currently offers two videos for visitors to experience: "Overlooking Penghu 360(俯瞰澎湖360)," which features aerial footage and "Penghu Seabed 360(澎湖海底360)," which offers an underwater perspective. Visitors can choose the video they prefer.
