During the summer vacation period each year, many local residents take their children to travel to other cities and counties in Taiwan, participate in local festivals, or visit amusement parks. However, the costs of round-trip airfare, accommodation, and transportation are often substantial.

To meet the needs of city residents and children for a nearby, longer-lasting, and even free large-scale recreational space, Mayor Huang Chien-Chung and the municipal administration team began planning the first Magong Summer Kids Fun Party in 2024. With funding support from multiple sources and the backing of the City Council, the project successfully transported several large inflatable amusement facilities from Taiwan to the green meadow behind the City Office.

The inflatable playground was opened free of charge for nearly one month, from late afternoon through evening hours, allowing children to play freely for extended periods. Combined with inflatable attractions, performances by local arts groups, and a local market, the area around the City Office became lively and bustling throughout the summer vacation, creating a joyful and vibrant atmosphere for families and children.
