Ma Lu Yi's origins date back to 1981, originally selling stinky tofu and chicken noodle soup from a small cart, before moving to a shop on Chongqing St. and later setting up a roadside stall in front of Beichen Palace (or Beijia Temple). With the hard work of owners Chen Chii, Yang Hungfeng, and Yang Meijung, the business flourished.
They later introduced a variety of unique and affordable snacks, such as their signature grilled pork rice, omurice, and pot-braised noodles—beloved dishes that keep customers coming back for more.
